We hit the scene in Minneapolis recently for a trade show and boy did we find lots of interesting things - the home of Prince's start, dancing Peruvians, our friend Ted from LOHAS, cigarette art vending machines, our friend Molly, caricatures with Zingerman's friends and more!
Speaking of Texas, it seems that our dear Marissa was roving through there this past week! Here she is rioting with our friends at the Whole Foods Houston Sugarland store. We've been learning lately that there are A LOT of rioters in Texas.
I met Israel 'Izzy' Yzaguirre as I checked through Austin airport security recently. He
recognized my sweetriot necklace! Izzy is a sweetriot customer, and his brother works at Whole Foods! Here is his picture – (we had to get special security permission to take it). Another happy rioter. Who knew that TSA guys at airports were eating sweetriot? :)
I went to Michigan recently to spend a weekend at home. When I fly into Michigan, one of my favorite things to do is to go STRAIGHT, I mean STRAIGHT to Zingerman's. It could be their deli or their roadhouse or their cafe. I'm there. They sell sweetriot there too! This time it was Friday evening and I went to visit Ari at the Roadhouse. It was humming. I partaked in their delicious chicken, mashed potatoes, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. Not to be missed.
We just returned from largest natural & organic food show of the year, Expo West. It truly is a 5 day festival of beautiful delicious food! The team always has an amazing time there -- this year we support the THINK Vitality Fashion Show and the Sambazon, sweetriot, Sahale and more friends party on Saturday night. Today, Geneve and I are visiting our local NYC stores to spread the holiday cheer. I'm not sure what holiday you and your family are celebrating, but I hope you have a chance to connect with those you care about! I'll be heading to Florida for a break to see my dad and sister and then to San Juan, Puerto Rico for New Year's -- I'm so excited!!!

It's Black Friday in NYC, and we decided to spread some Thanksgiving cheer on Union Square for the 3rd year in a row! Why not give sweetriot cacao on Thanksgiving? This year we had official sampler packets -- in the past, we had to make up our very own sampler bags.
We were lucky it was a sunny day for standing on the street corner. Needless to say, the holiday shoppers were excited to try some cacao! Since we were rioting outside Whole Foods and Pier 1, we could easily tell them where to find it.
