Hey Rioters! We’re sure many of you know that March is Women’s History Month, and sweetriot is very pumped about it. While our expertise and activism mostly lies in Fair Trade chocolate production, we’re also super focused on women’s empowerment and rights in the workplace! Maybe that’s a side of sweetriot you’ve never thought about before, or maybe it’s a big part of your decision to support our company, but either way we want to share with you a little bit of our history in honor of this awesome month.
Sarah Endline, CEO and Founder of sweetriot, is an inspiration to women all around the world, especially the women she mentors every day in the sweetriot office. Though she came from a small farming township of just 500, she had big dreams of starting her own mission-based business. Since, Sarah has put her MBA from Harvard University and her BBA from the University of Michigan to use, not only founding sweetriot, but also launching products, creating brands and running organizations for companies like Yahoo!, Microsoft, the World Bank, AIESEC, and The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). Sarah is an incredible example of a passionate, educated woman building her vision from the ground up despite the challenges that came her way.
Sarah is a strong player in the business world, but she also has a staff of super sweet women rioters helping her out every day. There’s Clare, Chief of Staff/Mega Catalyst of Cool Marketing/Co-Owner, Marissa, Mega Catalyst of Cool Markets/Co-Owner, Tracy, Catalyst of Cool Operations, Margery, Instigator of Cool Markets, and a ton of other part-time and interning female staff. In fact, sweetriot is entirely run by women (because, who runs the world?) and we’re so proud of that. sweetriot cares about making the world a better place, and that doesn’t just stop with Fair Trade chocolate. It’s as close to home as our New York City office, where we inspire all types of women (and men!) to follow their dreams and be their very best selves :)
