It's football season! Go blue!

It's football season and I can't resist sharing a post from 2005 when I first started sweetriot!  :)  Go Blue!

"I met with someone today to asked me why the thumbprint in the logo was blue.  Well, the earth is blue in those ocean spots, which is a fair answer, but then there is the deep, dark sweetriot secret I'm about to share.  Well, you see, I am a complete Go, Blue!, Hail to the Victors!, University of MIchigan kinda gal.   Since creating a logo isn't easy, I decided I might as well choose Michigan blue to make things easier.  I didn't realize it might take some investigation along the way.  I googled, contacted the legal dept, alum dept, and others at UMichigan trying to figure out - "What is the True Blue?"  I wrote many people and told them it was for good luck for my little start up and not for creating some knock-off Michigan merchandise.  :)  Luckily, a very nice lady in the legal department,  answered one of my emails and told me right away the way to make it UM's official blue.  With that the blue logo was born!"
