Yesterday I made a trip to Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula in order to visit my old Yahoo! friend, Kamie, and her family. I haven't had a chance to go 'Up North' in ages, and it was luckily a beautiful and sunny day.
This area is definitely one of the most scenic parts of my home-state of Michigan. If you are looking for a change in your next vacation, you may want to check it out -- or perhaps even the new Michael Moore sponsored Traverse City Film Festival. The 2nd annual one is just 2 weeks away.
I took a few shots of the world-famous Traverse City cherry trees and of course the finished cherry pie too! You'll notice there was some rioting going on at the lake - a favorite past-time in Michigan. Have you been to Traverse City?
