Recently I was down passing through Ground Zero on my way to an event. When you arrive there, you can't help but pause.
I had not stopped there in a few months. I'm not down at Battery Park often, so it's still striking for me to walk through. Having said that, I guess if I walked by every day it would still be striking but in a different way.
I found the signs interesting and took some photos to share with you. They seem to represent some feelings from the city - everything from 'don't commercialize this space' to 'keep it secure.' I believe these messages are how true New Yorkers feel about Ground Zero. It is true that noone here has forgotten.
