sweetriot was excited to be a part of the Fast Company Social Capitalist Awards last night. Fast Company started these awards 3 years ago as a way to recognize social innovation among entrepreneurs.
Thanks to our friend, Taz, at Appreciate who coordinated a wonderful selection of socially responsible gifts for these Fast folks. Each award recipient received sweetriot Cacao!
I was very happy to see my old friend, Paul Rice, the founder of TransFair USA (the leading Fair Trade organization) and a great supporter of sweetriot Cacao. He has helped me from the beginning to put strong fair trade principles behind sweetriot. Thank you Paul for your ongoing leadership and support.
Bill Drayton of Ashoka, noted as a founder of the social enterprise movement, was also in attendance as well as the entire Taz and Adam team from Reciprocity Foundation/Appreciate.
Keith, Mark, Cheryl, Lynn and the entire team at Fast Company should feel proud of their great work! It was a wonderful evening and a true celebration of progressive social innovation - our world needs more of this!
