I was fortunate on Thursday to spend the day at Zingerman's. Named the "Coolest Small Company in America" by Inc. Magazine, there are many reasons to follow their work.
To begin, they choose some of the most wonderful food products in the world and showcase them through out their retail store and catalog. When you visit their store, you are also treated to samples of these great products.
Perhaps though what is even more intriquing to a new business owner is their culture and dedication. Employees love working at Zingerman's and are extremely committed to their work. They appreciate each other and have fun at work. They consider business a partnership and treat their suppliers with respect and care. You can sense some of this by simply reading a few lines from a recruitment document: "People who work at Zingerman's...are passionate about great service, have high integrity and honesty, are committed to organization wide success, are attracted to diversity, enjoy being part of a team, etc"
