When Nina called this afternoon with the offer of Jazz in Washington Square Park, I couldn't resist! I was supposed to be working but decided a bit of music and laptop work would be perfect...
The "Chris Smith Trio" happens to be the honorary Jazz Band of sweetriot, and they are hot too! Chris Smith, Josh Paris, and Lars von the Nederlands were in good form with smooth jazz all afternoon. It was about 80 degrees in Manhattan today, and unfortunately this may be one of our last 'pseudo' summer days as the Fall Chill is already upon us. Why not spend one of those last warm days in one of the best parks in NYC?
Music is always something to inspire creativity as Nina and I worked in the background as groupies. However, Nina and I didn't realize that groupies have to carry the equipment after the show. Did you know that?!! (Just kidding but here is a funny photo nonetheless - thank god they didn't put us in charge of bringing home the drums and the bass.) Hope you had a great fall day too!
