Recently we saw our very own rock star, James, perform in Chicago.  James supports our business development and moonlights on the side with his band.  Nice!  More James on Myspace!

Our first Minneapolis riots!

We hit the scene in Minneapolis recently for a trade show and boy did we find lots of interesting things - the home of Prince's start, dancing Peruvians, our friend Ted from LOHAS, cigarette art vending machines, our friend Molly, caricatures with Zingerman's friends and more!

Here at sweetriot we like to celebrate holidays.  And days for moms are at the very top!  Moms, perhaps more than anyone, deserve mucho chocolate!  Happy Mother's Day to my mom and all moms near & far!!

Good 826 Event in Boston

Our friends at GOOD magazine hosted another great event in Boston recently to celebrate the opening of 826 Boston and their amazing retail storefront, the Bigfoot Institute.  sweetriot was standing by for the exciting guests!  Here's a boston globe feature on the organization too.

Tribeca Film Fest & Paraiso Travel

 

The Tribeca Film Fest opened this week and sweetriot was standing by for the indie community.  I was ecstatic to meet the cast of a lovely film, Paraiso Travel, which I predict to be a hit Indie film (the next Motorcycle Diaries).  The film is beautiful and set in NYC and Colombia.  I love Latin films and everyone knows I love Colombia, so I was stoked to see the film! sweetriot sources in Latin America, and it's always nice to see scenery from down South.  The story itself is touching and the actors are ones to watch.   Don't miss this film!

Marissa spotted in Texas!

Speaking of Texas, it seems that our dear Marissa was roving through there this past week!  Here she is rioting with our friends at the Whole Foods Houston Sugarland store.  We've been learning lately that there are A LOT of rioters in Texas.
